Coire Glas: Community Liaison Group meeting

A meeting of the Coire Glas Community Liaison Group will be held by video conference at 7pm on Wednesday 27 October.

Coire Glas is a pumped hydro storage facility which would be the first scheme of its kind to be constructed in the United Kingdom for more than 30 years. SSE Renewables is currently conducting early assessment work at the site, to the north of Loch Lochy, which will determine whether construction can proceed as planned.

The Community Liaison Group (CLG) is an opportunity for people who live in the surrounding area to contribute to the project’s progress and find out more about the scope and timescales of the development.

A postal invitation to all residents within five kilometres of the Coire Glas site boundary was issued earlier this month. Any other residents in the Spean Bridge and Invergarry areas who would like to attend the meeting, which will be held on the Microsoft Teams video conferencing platform, can email coireglas@sse.com for an invitation.

More details of the Coire Glas project, and further updates on Coire Glas CLG meetings, can be found at: www.coireglas.com.
