Supporting Community

We are committed to working with residents and businesses near Coire Glas so that Great Glen communities stay informed of the project’s progress and share in its success.

As with all SSE Renewables projects, a community benefit fund will provide long-term investment for the area and we will work with the relevant organisations to make the most of job and skills training opportunities. 

Further details on the structure of the community benefit fund will be confirmed following consultation with the community.

Coire Glas Community Liaison Group

The Community Liaison Group is an opportunity for the project team and members of the community to discuss progress on the proposed Coire Glas pumped hydro storage scheme, near Loch Lochy.

A postal invitation is sent to all residents within 5km of the Coire Glas site boundary. Any other residents in the Spean Bridge, Invergarry and Fort Augustus areas who would like to attend the meeting, can email coireglas@sse.com for an invitation.
